Frequently Asked Questions
The questions buyers ask us most often, answered in plain English. If yours is missing, send it to us and an engineer will answer within 16 hours.
Orders, MOQ and pricing
What is your minimum order quantity?
For molded parts we can start from 100-500 pcs per part, depending on size and material. Tooling orders start from one mold. Most of our customers begin with a small first production run and scale up.
How much does an injection mold cost?
A single-cavity prototype mold typically starts around USD 1,500-3,000. Production molds with more cavities, hot runners or complex slides range from USD 5,000 to USD 30,000+. The size of the part, cavity count, steel grade and slide/lifter count drive the price. Use our instant calculator for a preliminary figure, or send drawings for a firm quote.
How fast can you quote?
Within 16 hours for most RFQs. Complex assemblies with many parts may take up to 48 hours.
What do you need to quote?
A STEP/STP/STL/IGES file is ideal. If you only have 2D PDF or DWG drawings we can still quote. Please also tell us the annual volume, the material preference and any surface or tolerance requirements.
Tooling and production
How long does tooling take?
Simple single-cavity molds: 15-25 days. Multi-cavity or slide molds: 25-45 days. T1 samples are sent for your approval before mass production.
What materials do you mold?
ABS, PP, PE, PC, PC/ABS, PA6, PA66, POM, PMMA, PS, HIPS, PET, PBT, PPS, PSU, TPU, TPE, TPR, PVC and glass-filled grades. We can also mold with your specified brand (Covestro, SABIC, BASF, DuPont, LG Chem and others) on request.
What is your typical lead time for parts?
5-12 working days for repeat production runs after tooling is approved, depending on quantity and finishing.
Can you do overmolding or insert molding?
Yes. Soft-touch grips, embedded metal inserts, threaded inserts and two-shot parts are all within our capability.
Quality and documentation
How do you control quality?
Incoming material inspection, first-article inspection, in-process checks every 2 hours, final dimensional inspection and outgoing packaging check. We provide material certificates, dimensional reports and PPAP documentation when requested.
Can you work to our tolerances?
Yes. We routinely hold +/-0.05 mm on critical dimensions and tighter on request. Please mark critical dimensions on the drawing.
